Antique Edwardian English Sterling Silver Vesta Case

Featuring engraved fillagree ornamentation with love heart feature and striker on base.  Antique Edwardian English Sterling Silver Vesta Case. With an original sturdy ring attachment for wearing on a chain.  Lovely condition with good hinge and clear hallmark.  Vesta Cases were made from 1880-1920 as small portable boxes to hold and keep matches dry.  They became fashionable and ranged from the most basic to the more elaborate showing wealth and style.

Marker: Hall Marked B1911 English

Condition: Smaller style ladies Vesta Case.  Embossed fillagree with front Heart Shape.  Lovely decorative detail.  Small indentation to the front on LHS of heart.
