Antique Victorian Mourning Brooch with Pearl Frame
Early Victorian Antique Mourning Brooch set in 15ct Gold surrounded by Natural Pearls and containing a lock of hair held with 2 Seed Pearls. Mourning Jewellery was popular in the Victorian Era as a token of remembrance of a loved one. Brooches were traditionally worn in the Edwardian era to show wealth in the upper classes.
Material: 15ct Yellow and Natural Pearls. Inscribed with 'Carol Chaplin 17 Yrs Feb 1837'

Condition: Good original early Antique Condition.
